The SSK518 project involves constructing a new 24-classroom primary school at Au Pui Wan Street, Fo Tan, commissioned by the Hong Kong SAR Government. This project aims to reprovision the existing Po Leung Kuk Siu Hon Sum Primary School with a modern, purpose-built campus that meets current educational and environmental standards. The school, which opened on March 19, 2025, incorporates MiC (Modular Integrated Construction) technology.
Integration of SUNPIPE:
As part of the Government’s commitment to sustainable development and green building practices, the project incorporates Monodraught Sunpipe systems, supplied and supported by Delta Pyramax, the exclusive distributor in Hong Kong. The Sunpipe natural daylighting system is designed to maximize the use of natural sunlight within the school’s interior spaces. By channelling daylight from the rooftop into classrooms and common areas, SUNPIPE significantly reduces the reliance on artificial lighting during daytime hours.
